Kansas City is world renowned for its rich jazz and blues  legacy. Jazz in Kansas City was born in the 1920s and continues today in  clubs and events held throughout the city. More than 40 area nightclubs feature jazz on a regular basis.

 Kansas City’s first fountains date back to the late 1800s, when they  served a purely utilitarian purpose: thirsty dogs, horses and birds  drank water when passing to and through the city.

Soon thereafter, the city began erecting drinking fountains—each with  their own distinctive architectural styles, features and themes.

 The National Collegiate Basketball Hall of Fame occupies approximately  one-third of The College Basketball Experience and will compliment the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame by enshrining great coaches, players and teams who deserve recognition but may be omitted from Naismith Memorial Hall of Fame.
